Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo tells board: I do not want Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told the board he does not want Chelsea forward Eden Hazard to join this summer. Real Madrid want Hazard as a potential replacement for Ronaldo, whose career at the Bernabeu may be drawing to a close. The 33-year-old bagged a stunning hat-trick as Los Blancos beat Real Sociedad 5-2 last night.

But Ronaldo has struggled this season and, amid reports he wants a stunning return to Manchester United, a sensational summer transfer could be on the cards. Hazard could arrive as his replacement with the Chelsea star making no secret of his desire to move to La Liga.
Yet Spanish website Don Balon claim Ronaldo does not want Hazard to sign for Real Madrid at the end of the season. It is said he has communicated his feelings on the matter to Gareth Bale.

Ronaldo is supposedly having second thoughts about leaving Real. And he does not want the arrival of a fellow world-class star to put his position as talisman under threat.

Ronaldo, Don Balon report, feels Hazard’s signing would be unnecessary. Instead, the Portugal international would prefer for Los Blancos to strengthen other areas of their squad. A goalkeeper is expected to arrive with David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois both tipped to take over from Keylor Navas.

Real have also been linked with a move for Tottenham star Harry Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema.

But, with Manchester United also keen on the England international, a summer bidding war may unfold.
